How to Post to Your Instagram Story
Our clients have been really excited with our use of Facebook and Instagram stories recently, but they are rightly asking how they can do it themselves. Although our job as social media managers is usually to take the workload off of our clients so they don’t have to think about doing social media for their business, with stories it often makes a lot of sense for them to do it themselves while they’re in action! So here’s an easy guide to posting to your Instagram story:
To share a photo or video to your story using the Instagram app:
- Tap📸 in the top left of your screen or swipe right from anywhere in feed.
- Tap⚪ at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video. To choose a photo from your phone’s library or gallery, swipe up anywhere on the screen.
- Tap the buttons in the top right to draw, add text or a sticker to your photo or video. To remove text or a sticker, drag and drop it on🗑 at the bottom of the screen.
- When you’re ready to share, tap Your Story in the bottom left.
Note: Stories disappear from profile and feed after 24 hours, unless you add them to your profile as highlights.
